Ahead of his big match against Cody Rhodes at WWE RAW, Mike "The Miz" Mizanin shared his thoughts on his role in the business, his progression in WWE and how his character has changed since becoming a a participant in the reality show Tough Enough.

The Miz may be one of your most disliked WWE characters, but he always strives to be the best for those who really think he is.
"You will never be the most popular, you will never be the most hated, you will never be the most, because everyone has their own opinion. Someone will say that Shawn Michaels is the greatest, someone that this is Hulk Hogan, or The Rock, or Steve Austin. And some might even say The Miz! But my job is to make sure that every time I'm in there, in and out of the ring, more people are saying, "It's The Miz! And he's cool!"
The Miz's role in wrestling
The Miz is now in good standing with the company, looking like a "chameleon" who can fit into any role he is given.
"I would say that right now my role is the person who helps develop newbies, but also I'm allowed to participate in the main events of the main shows, well, or be in the midcard. I can be anywhere! I'm the person who is looked at and talked about : "Hey, we have a story like this!", and if they give this story to me, they know they will get gold!".

But as the focus shifts more towards developing rising WWE stars, is The Miz's retirement just around the corner?
"No, what are you! Not yet.", - he said. "My job right now is that a celebrity comes along and she shouldn't just sit on the sidelines and watch me work. Have the fans paid to see if Logan Paul can do this or that? And I want to be able to give the fans that answer." , be it positive or negative. So I'm going to push any celebrity to be the absolute best and it will only work if they have passion, dedication, will and athletic ability!"
