4 Wrestlers Randy Orton Couldn't Defeat

4 wrestling legends Randy Orton couldn't beat.

Randy Orton fame

Randy Orton became a superstar in WWE when he used his Legend Killer gimmick in 2005. It was one of the greatest gimmicks of the "Age of Relentless Aggression" and Orton has only moved away from it in the last decade because this gimmick has become a bit redundant since he became a legend himself.

This Orton character catapulted him to the top of the card and he transcended his time in Evolution. He was also the first person fans sincerely believed capable of defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania because he had destroyed a ton of legends prior to "Dead Man". Although he was never able to defeat him at WrestleMania, Orton defeated Taker several times, as well as a bunch of other legends. This list, however, will take a look at Four legends that the "legend slayer" couldn't beat in a one-on-one duel.

4. Goldberg

The only singles match between Goldberg and Orton took place in 2003, and Goldberg dominated the fight. Orton, unfortunately, never had another chance to top Goldberg, and given that Goldberg's time in WWE may be running out, it may never happen.

3. Mr. Perfect

This doesn't really come as a shock to fans, as Mr. Perfect and Orton flourished in two very different eras of wrestling. Orton was never able to win a single victory.

Their first match took place in January 2002, so that was long before Orton became a legendary performer. A few months after their last fight, Mr. Perfect left WWE to join TNA. The future WWE Hall of Famer sadly passed away in 2003 without knowing that he defeated the future youngest WWE World Champion.

2. Brock Lesnar

Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar both debuted in WWE in 2002, but have fought one-on-one since 2001 on Heat. To this day, Orton lost to Lesnar 7-0 in WWE.

The two are still on the roster and Orton may one day get his revenge, but for now, Lesnar is a legend that Orton hasn't been able to "kill".

1 Hulk Hogan

The final matchup of Legend vs. Legendary Assassin was Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton. In 2006, the two had a great storyline that led to their match at SummerSlam. Of course, Hogan was far from his prime, but this storyline really solidified Orton's identity as the "Legendary Killer".

During their feud, Randy Orton molested Hogan's daughter, Brooke, and even made fun of the entire family. Hogan eventually won the match and that was the last time they met in the ring.
