Randy Orton Reportedly Told By Doctors To Consider Retirement

WWE Superstar's father says he has been advised to step away from the ring due to back injury

Randy Orton's father, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, has revealed that doctors have advised his son to consider retirement from professional wrestling.

The 14-time world champion has been sidelined with a back injury since November 2022. He underwent surgery to fuse his lower back in December, but his recovery has been slow.

In an interview with WrestleBinge with Sportskeeda, Bob Orton said that Randy is still training, but he is not sure if he will ever be able to return to the ring.

"He's training, so we'll see what happens," Bob Orton said. "I don't know if he feels like going back or if he feels like he's ready to go back, I think he might.

"Then again, he's pretty well taken care of. I don't think he needs to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do."

Randy Orton has been a mainstay in WWE for over 20 years. He is one of the most decorated wrestlers in history, and he is widely considered to be one of the greatest of all time.

If Orton does decide to retire, it would be a major loss for WWE. He is one of the biggest stars in the company, and he is still capable of putting on great matches.

However, Orton's health is more important than anything else. If he is not able to compete at a high level, then it is in his best interest to step away from the ring.

Only time will tell what Randy Orton decides to do. But if he does decide to retire, he will be leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for years to come.

Fans react to news of Orton's potential retirement

News of Randy Orton's potential retirement has been met with mixed reactions from fans.

Some fans have expressed sadness at the thought of Orton leaving the ring, while others have said that it is time for him to retire and focus on his health.

"I'm really sad to hear that Randy Orton might be retiring," one fan tweeted. "He's one of my favorite wrestlers of all time."

"I think it's time for Randy Orton to retire," another fan tweeted. "He's had a great career, but his body is starting to break down."

Only time will tell what Randy Orton decides to do. But regardless of his decision, he will always be remembered as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
